Hey there!

As we start the 2022 legislative session I wanted to highlight the work being done to bring the Climate Action Plan components into law. As a refresher the Global Warming Solutions Act was a bill that created the Climate Solutions Council; which was made up of appointed members to create a Climate Action Plan for Vermont.

The committee met and created the Draft Action Plan at the end of December. You can see the full draft here.

I co-sponsored the original legislation and followed closely the process within the Climate Solutions Council. While following that I worked with colleagues on my committee, House Transportation to draft legislation we will be unveiling at the beginning of the legislative session. That bill is titled the Transportation Innovation Act and has many exciting initiatives built off of the work of the committee and longstanding ideas for a greener and more sustainable transportation system.
