My vision statements on pressing issues:

The Climate Crisis

We are facing an existential threat greater than any other that the human race has seen before. As a young person in Vermont, I know my life is and will be to an even greater extent, shaped by how we respond.

Income Inequality

I grew up in a “no-frills” household but was able to get a quality public education, have stable housing despite multiple home foreclosures, and live in a safe healthy village. Income inequality stops these types of opportunities, and everyone deserves dignity.

Housing Affordability

My husband Dylan and I live in an affordable housing home through Twin Pines Housing Trust, and I see the value of secure housing as it impacts employers and workers in our region. Vermonters should never be torn between choosing to house over other necessities.

Health Care as a Right

When my mother injured her back and was laid up for months, I saw what it meant to not have health insurance that covered costs. I also experienced the benefit of being on Dr. Dynasaur and Medicaid, and I believe healthcare is a right.

Equity

We must root out systemic racism in all facets of institutions, including criminal justice and police reform. Accountability for people in positions of authority, including elected officials like myself, is paramount.

Moving Forward

There are lots of other values-driven issues I am focused on, and they range from responding to surveillance capitalism and data protection to how we fund our public education system to ensure all Vermonters have high-quality lifelong learning opportunities.
